SWD Metal In Motion Light

Words by Sean Biggs
“Was I making a lot of smoke?” asks a hyped-up Justin Moore as he pulls his car in after a session. “I don’t even care if I’m doing well, I just want to make tires smoke.”

I am reminded of what makes drifting such a great motorsport – it’s fun!

We traveled up to Charlotte, NC for another great Streetwise Drift event – Metal in Motion Light. Several local drifters were in attendance – with Kesean Cornish and Adam Seaman qualifying Top 8 GACS, of which Adam would go on to win for the bURG crowd in a close battle with always-fun-to-watch Ivan Klimovich. For many locals like our own Andy Sav this was the first event with a new setup/new car.

Enough talking – check out the pics!

Erick burning through some tires in his 300ZX

Always a crowd favorite, Ivan is always a threat to finish well in competition.

In the pits, anxiously waiting to get out on the track.

Adam took top honors for the day in the Heads Up Motorsports S14

ASD Built Falken Widebody S13 on BBS'! Absolute beauty!

Tastefully done Miata that stood out at the car show coral.
